With the winter holidays coming up why not enjoy some accessible fun this December.  Below is a list of family-friendly events that will satisfy any age. 

Sugar Land Holiday Lights at Constellation Field

Holiday Lights at Constellation Field (Nov.23 – Jan. 1)

This event with colorful Christmas lights and festivities is a must see for all ages.  There are also vendors throughout the stadium concourse worth checking out.  Most importantly, the event is wheelchair accessible and you can even enjoy the lights on the field.  Definitely, something to check out this holiday season.

Houston Zoo Lights (Nov. 17 – Jan. 19)

This December why not see the zoo in a new light at night with a spectacular Christmas light show and don’t forget to visit the Christmas Village.  Festivities start at 5 PM each night and its good to come early or come later in the evening when the park is less crowded.

Christmas Village at Bayou Bend (Dec. 14 – Jan. 5)

Why not enjoy Christmas festivities at the beautiful Bayou Bend museum that has been transformed into a Christmas Village.  This family-fun event is great for all ages and little ones can even see Santa.  Also, don’t miss the Christmas carolers and the holiday tour of the Ima Hogg mansion.

Ice Land at Moody Gardens (Nov. 17 – Jan. 6)

If you’re in the mood to take a weekend trip to Galveston why not make a visit to see the Ice Land and Festival of Lights exhibits at Moody Gardens.  The Ice Land exhibits are a huge treat for anyone wanting to an Arctic- Antartica experience with spectacular ice sculptures of polar bears, penguins, and reindeer.  After the ice sculptures, why not take a mile long walk to see beautiful Christmas lights and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate afterward.

Christmas in the Park at George Ranch Park (Dec. 1 – Dec 22)

Why not enjoy a trip to the historic George Ranch Park to enjoy Christmas festivities by traveling through the past.  You will experience and see Christmas customs and beautiful decorations from the 1800s to 1930s.  Also, don’t forget to see the festive Ryon Prairie home and little ones can visit Santa’s workshop.
