A vibrant and hip city that is situated in the foothills of Mt. Hood. I found the city is very accessible and is a nice place to eat outside in the summer months. Also, you will find Portland is one of the most dog-friendliest cities and has a great nightlife. It shouldn’t be too hard to find whatever fits your mood in this hip city.
If you have the time you should make a visit to Mt. Hood and the Timberline Lodge. The location that inspired Stephen King’s The Shining. Be sure to bring a jacket, it is quite cold even in the summer because the lodge is located at an elevation of 6,000 feet.
