My Accessible Review
Willie’s is a great place to get a burger and grab a beer and catch a game. They have other menu items besides burgers, including shrimp tacos and chicken sandwiches that are superb. Also, the service is always consistent which is a great plus.
Today, I ordered the fried crawfish tails as my entree and they were excellent and very tasty. I’m not a big crawfish person, but these exceeded my expectations for fried seafood.
For accessibility, Willie’s is a big restaurant with a lot of space and the tables aren’t too close together, thus maneuverability shouldn’t be much of a problem for powered chair users. Also, the main entrance has two heavy double doors, which will be problematic for most of us and the counter to get a soda is too high for a chair, so you will have to ask for assistance, which is no problem since the staff here is very friendly.
Bathrooms are much bigger than standard bathrooms and shouldn’t be too much of a problem, except for the heavy door into the bathroom.
Overall, Willie’s is a decent place for wheelchair users and has great food at affordable prices with quality better than most sit down restaurants. If you are in the neighborhood this is a great place to try.
