Red Robin is a national chain that has remained consistently good over the years and the food is still quite good. The thing they are most famous for is their bottomless fries and delicious burgers. Their menu is quite huge and they have a great drink menu as well.
Hoggs N’ Chicks is locally owned and a reasonably priced restaurant providing more than just pork and chicken items. Their menu is quite expansive for an order at the counter type restaurant and they provide excellent customer service. Also, remember to have room for desert, their cobbler is quite excellent.
Jupiter Pizza & Waffle is owned by the same owners as Guru Burger and quite a unique fusion of Belgian waffles and pizza. They are known for the Southern Belle, crispy fried chicken served over a Belgian waffle. If pizza or waffles aren’t what you’re into, they also have great salads and skillet meals.
Brenham, TX is about 75 miles northwest of Houston and is home to several great wineries. Of the wineries, Saddlehorn Winery is the area’s best and newest winery. They are known for their Red and Black Spanish wines. Staff is very friendly and the wine tasting area is quite spacious. Also, they sell a nice cheese tray that compliments the wines well and something that Pleasant Hill doesn’t offer.
Dish Society is a great place for a meal that offers fresh ingredients that are grown and farmed locally. They are known for great salads and food items that will satisfy vegans and meat eaters alike. One point of interest is the Brisket Stuffed Sweet Potato, this is quite big and definitely worth a try. Also, they have a great alcoholic menu with a nice selection of cocktails and wines.
Greek food is a personal favorite of mine and I have been wanting to try a higher end Greek restaurant that wasn’t like fast casual places like Niko Niko’s. I wanted a hip place that provided a unique twist to authentic Greek food.
If you love organic and natural foods then most likely you been to a Whole Foods once in your life. They might not have everything or be cheaper compared to HEB or Kroger, but you will be satisfied with their food quality.
