Experience
My visit came on a not too busy spring afternoon. The weather was very pleasant on the spacious outdoor patio. The patio is fairly open and receives a nice cross breeze. Though I did have to enter the building to reach the patio. Fortunately, it wasn’t much of a problem and not a far walk.
Food
As stressed in the name Messina Hof, I was interested in ordering wine from this iconic winery. I went with the refreshing orange muscat mistella to start. This fabulous white wine comes with hints of orange and lemon zest to give a sweet and citrusy taste. Definitely, a nice option for those with a sweet tooth or casual drinkers.
With my wine, I feasted on the delicious cheese and charcuterie board. Their board was top-notched and comes with an awesome selection of popular cheeses and condiments. Some of the items included blue cheese, Gruyère, salami, seasoned flatbread, cranberry stuffed bread, and much more. Though the selections mentioned above are seasonal and may not always be available.
Fortunately, I had a party to share this with. The board is certainly good for at least three people. Definitely getting this again.
Now for the entree, I went with the unusual but exceptionally tasty Tuscan pizza. This wood-fired pizza comes with a trove of excellent Italian and Greek vegetables splashed with tzatziki sauce. Some of the hit ingredients include artichokes, feta cheese, tomatoes, and Kalamata olives. I was certainly impressed with this phenomenal selection and would certainly order it again.
Accessibility
The overall accessibility is fairly exceptional, though the entrance doors are fairly heavy and can be hard to open for many in wheelchairs. Nevertheless, the building was fairly easy to maneuver without assistance.
