Experience
My visit came on a busy afternoon for dinner service and was able to find a nice table on the covered back patio. The patio overlooks Songkran Thai Kitchen and the particular area receives a nice cross breeze. Though the patio does encounter heavy foot traffic and is near one of their entrances. Where I situated in the corners, it was not really a problem for me personally. However, it is recommended to make reservations for the patio since seating is fairly limited and highly sought after in the evenings.
Food/Drink
I started everything off with the Sangria De Mercado. This particular red sangria was very good and refreshing. Comes with a generous amount of spices, red wine, and brandy. A can’t miss option for sangria lovers.
Next, I went with the taquitos and roasted plantains for appetizers. Taquitos were phenomenal and the chicken was slowly cooked just right. This was “fall off the bone” tender and complemented with a nice queso fresco on top. This was by far the most delicious of the two appetizers. The platanos rostizados or roasted plantains were delicious. With a nice dulce sauce on top, plantain lovers will certainly enjoy this fine addition.
Finally, the pinnacle of my entire meal and the actual entrée. I went with the carnitas for my entrée. The carnitas was flat out phenomenal and comes with generous portions of slowly cooked pork. Meat was very tender and not too fatty. The dish also comes with onions, refried black beans, Mexican rice, and corn tortillas. Certainly a great option for those overwhelmed with the excellent menu.
