Sonoma Wine Bar is a nice treat for wine lovers and they offer excellent food as well. Some items worth mentioning is the cheese and meat boards and the nice selections of specialty pizzas. Also, they have a nice selection of small bites from bruschetta to crab cakes. In addition, they have daily specials like wine tasting on Saturdays and wine and food flights on Tuesdays.
My visit came on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was quite crowded, but the restaurant is fairly small. There are quite a few tables that can accommodate a wheelchair, fortunately. The inside was quite nice with a pleasant aesthetic of a Napa Valley winery.
Since this is a wine bar, I started my visit with a rose Moscato from Australia that was sweetened just right and not too dry. Certainly. a nice wine for people starting out with wine or love sweet wine.
Next item was the cheese and meat board that can be customized if you prefer. I ordered the half-size portion of the Artisan board that came with three mild pieces of cheese and pastrami, ham, and pork piccante. Also, the board comes with notable accompaniments: ciabatta, red anjou pear, oregon hazelnuts, cranberry and walnut bread, and triple berry jam.
This has plenty of food for three people and was an excellent selection even for people that aren’t big cheese eaters.
Then, I ordered the pepperoni with arugula for my entree since I was still fairly hungry.
This pizza was quite filling and the arugula was a fresh change from plain pepperoni pizza. It was exceptionally good and very fresh with quality ingredients. Certainly, one of their finest options to share or eat by yourself.
The overall accessibility of Sonoma Wine Bar was exceptional with only one minor issue with regard to the bathroom. It was a standard restroom that may be small for some wheelchair users, but not too problematic. Also, mentioned earlier the restaurant is fairly small but does have a few tables that can accommodate a chair. There are tables outside that can fit a wheelchair as well. Beware the restaurant does get packed in the evenings and reservations are recommended.
Overall, Sonoma Wine Bar was an excellent choice with amazing food and exceptional wines that will impress most connoisseurs. With exceptional accessibility, this restaurant is truly a pleasant surprise that you will certainly want to try in your next wine outing.
