Torchy Tacos is known for unique tacos that are nothing like your local Taco Bell.  Their food uses fresh ingredients and is very affordable.  Also, they have a special taco of the month that are usually worth trying.

My Experience

My particular visit was at noon on a Friday, probably the worst time if you hate crowds and are in a wheelchair.  The wait to order was about 20 minutes and there weren’t many tables available that could accommodate a chair.  The service was a little slow for a fast food restaurant, but fortunately, the food came out hot and very fresh.

One interesting thing that Torchy Tacos offers besides tacos is organic sodas that you can find at their soda fountains.  The Mexican cola and the root beer are worth trying.

For Lunch, I ordered chips and salsa alongside my meal and the salsa were the perfect spice level and very delicious.

I ordered two tacos the Trailer Park and the Chicken Fajita. The Trailer Park consists of fried chicken in a flour or corn tortilla that comes with a nice Poblano sauce on the side.

The Chicken Fajita taco came with grilled chicken, grilled onions and melted Monterrey jack cheese.

These were all very good items with a lot of flavor and are my personal favorites.

The accessibility for this restaurant could be a little better for those in wheelchairs.  Most manual wheelchair users will be able to manage at non-peak hours, but others will have some difficulty, unfortunately.

Bathrooms are standard multi-occupancy restrooms that could be problematic for some.

The tables are close together, which will be a problem if the restaurant is crowded and those who use power chairs.  Also, the restaurant has a limited selection of tables that can accommodate chairs.

One positive is the restaurant staff will assign you a number and bring the food to your table.

Overall, Torcy Tacos offers affordable and excellent food with a few limitations that will impact the experience for wheelchair users, but the restaurant is still worth the trouble.
