The newest concept from the owners of B.B Butchers just recently opened an Italian restaurant at Sugar Land’s Town Square. Diners can enjoy Italian classics and other delicious items in a cozy neighborhood atmosphere

My visit came on a busy occasion, which happened to be Christmas Eve. Though I did make reservations to be safe. The restaurant was quite festive with a huge Christmas tree and decorations throughout the restaurant.
Unfortunately, the Christmas festivities did make the restaurant a little chaotic and service was lacking just a bit. Also, the restaurant is quite small and can get very noisy during peak dining hours
Luckily, the experience did not impact the overall accessibility or affect the food.
Next, for my entree I went with the hot oil hot pie. This is essentially a pizza that uses pizza dough saturated in olive oil. Seems weird at first, but oil pizzas can be quite delicious. Fortunately, the B.B Italia version was outstanding and very flavorful with the addition of spicy oil and garlic bread crumbs. Additionally, the pizza is complemented with San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella, and then cooked in a wood-fired oven. I would certainly order this again if I’m craving pizza.

The overall accessibility was fairly good, with a few issues that may impact accessibility. The first issue is the lack of accessible parking at Sugar Land’s Town Square. This is a huge issue that affects the town square throughout. The other issue is the restaurant is quite small and could negatively impact powered wheelchairs. All in all with good planning the accessibility is very manageable

Verdict
Despite the chaotic experience due to the holidays, B.B Italia has delicious food and decent accessibility. Even with the town square flaws, the visit is well worth your while for amazing Italian comfort food.
