1. Houston Zoo

3. George R. Ranch Park
This historical park south of Sugar Land offers a glimpse of Texas settler life and with many activities throughout the day, is super family friendly. With three homes to visit as well, this is always a great day event for any age. Most importantly, the park is very accessible with lifts and ramps to the homes and has accessible bathrooms on site as well.

4. NASA
The famous Houston Space Center offers amazing exhibits from shuttles to astronaut equipment and has its own IMAX theater. With exceptional accessibility throughout the museum grounds, NASA is particularly amazing during the springtime with manageable temperatures for the shuttle and tram tours.

5. Galveston
Galveston makes an excellent day trip with many things to do including rolling around the downtown district and enjoying a nice gulf breeze. Also, Moody Gardens is worth checking out as well with an excellent aquarium and animal exhibits: Otter and Penguins. Nevertheless, Galveston main attractions are highly accessible and with fewer crowds, spring is the perfect time to visit.
