Houston Rice Village

If you notice Houston has many great, but expensive French restaurants.  However, Eclair happens to be a more affordable option with excellent food.  Also, the cafe has an exceptional bakery with amazing apple tarts and other baked French delicacies.

Experience

Latte.

My visit came on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was not too crowded.  This isn’t a big restaurant so it was probably the most optimal time for me.  Also, this restaurant has waiter service, which is nice as well.  Service was great and the waiter did an excellent job despite being the only waiter available.

With regard to the food, the food was superb and blew away many great French bakeries in the area.  I ordered the chicken baguette sandwich, which comes with poached chicken, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and dijon mustard.  Be aware this is a foot long baguette and is very filling.  I did order french fries on the side and I was quite stuffed afterward.

Double Fried French Fries.

They also have an amazing bakery with great deserts from tarts to French eclairs that are worth taking home.  You will certainly not be disappointed.

Accessibility

As I said earlier the restaurant is quite small but manageable for most wheelchair users.  There are also tables outside you can eat at when the weather is really nice.  The only negative I could really find is the bathrooms are a little small and will be troublesome for most chair users.  Outside of that issue, Eclair Paris has excellent accessibility and spectacular food well worth the trip to Rice Village.
