If you have a great love for empanadas then Marini’s Empanada House is your place with a huge list of interesting versions from barbeque to desert empanadas. The restaurant is an order at the counter type restaurant, but their specialties are top notched.
Experience
My visit came on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was half full with easy access to oddly shaped tables. The tables were manageable, but I had to sit my wheelchair on the side.
Now for the food, I ordered the Chicken Inferno and Texan Barbecue for my meal. The chicken inferno comes with green onions, habanero peppers, potato, tomato sauce, and garlic. Texan Barbeque comes with chopped brisket and barbeque sauce. These were excellent and tasty choices, but beware the chicken inferno is very spicy.
Also, I ordered the sangria and this was perfectly sweet and chilled with sliced apples and perfect for the summer heat.
Accessibility
The accessibility of this restaurant is satisfactory but could be problematic for electric wheelchairs. The food is so good that it’s worth the hassle in my opinion.

Overall Marini’s Empanada House offers incredible empanadas that truly are the best in all of Houston. This is definitely a place worth the trek even with the restaurant’s minor issues.
