Experience

My visit came on a Sunday evening at opening. It was not too crowded initially. After six or so the restaurant is often fully packed even on Sundays. Though I did have reservations fortunately.

Luckily, most tables can accommodate most wheelchairs. I was able to get a nice table in the front. It worked out fairly well in the end. I did not encounter any trouble even when the restaurant got full.

The atmosphere was fairly relaxed and is extremely popular with old timers. Additionally, the restaurant gives a charming hole in the wall feeling. It is situated in a old shopping center. Nevertheless, the restaurant inside is very nice and has superb service.

My meal service started off with an order of garlic bread and fried green tomatoes for the table. Both are awesome appetizers. Though, the fried green tomatoes was most delicious of the two. I would definitely order them again.

For my entree I ordered the wagyu burger. This was high quality beef and much leaner than the usual Angus beef. It was very delicious and quite filling at 8 ounces. Also, it comes with a nice side of truffle fries. I would certainly order this again.

Verdict

Alex’s Kitchen with superb service and delicious comfort food is a nice treat for any occasion. It is certainly no surprise that loyal customers make this a weekly haunt.
